inReach with Earthmate Phone and Tablet Bluetooth Compatibility

The Earthmate® app allows you to do almost everything on your mobile device that you can do on your inReach® device, but with greater convenience and access to topographic maps.

Earthmate Compatibility

• Android 6.0¹ or higher
• iOS 9.2 or higher²
• Earthmate is not compatible with Windows

inReach devices connect wirelessly with iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth. In order to use an inReach device with an Android or iOS device, you must download the free Earthmate app from the online Google Play or the App Store. For the original inReach 1.5 model, pairing with a mobile device is required in order to compose and send custom text messages. 

¹ Older versions of Earthmate for Android are available but these will not be updated.

² Due to an updated Bluetooth module, newer inReach models, the inReach SE®+, inReach Explorer®+. and inReach Mini, will not be able to pair successfully to older iOS devices through Earthmate app.
