My Approach S1 or S2 is Frozen, Won't Power On or Not Working Correctly
If your Approach® S1 or Approach® S2 golf watch won’t turn on or off, is not responding, or is not working correctly; you may need to perform a reset.
Reset
This type of reset will not delete any stored data.- Press and hold Light/Power button, wait up to 30 seconds until device powers on/off
- Release Light/Power button
The Approach should be functioning properly now. If the watch is still unresponsive, connect it to a computer and follow the steps above again.
If your system is still not responding properly the watch needs to be set back to factory settings, this will erase all the user information. Any scorecards saved to the watch will remain on the watch.
Factory Reset
- Press and hold Light/Power button, wait up to 30 seconds until device powers on/off
- Press and hold the Down button and the Light/Power button
- Release both buttons when the screen displays Clear user data select Yes
- The setup screen will appear and the device will be set back to default factory settings
If you had customized settings, you will need to make these changes again. Bring the watch outdoors to a place with a clear view of the sky to connect to GPS satellites. This may take up to 20 minutes.
NOTE: Any scorecards saved to the watch will remain on the watch after a factory reset.
