Updating the RV-bbt601 Remote

To update the RV-bbt601 Remote please follow the steps below:


  1. On your computer, go to garmin.com/express, and follow the instructions to download and install the Garmin Express software.
  2. Start Garmin Express.
  3. Connect your RV HUB Remote to your computer using a micro USB cable.
  4. From Garmin Express, click Add a Device. The Garmin Express software detects your device.
  5. Click Add Device.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your device and add it to the Garmin Express software. When setup is complete, the Garmin Express software searches for map and software updates for your device.
  7. Select an option:
    1. To install all available updates, click Install All.
    2. To install a single update, click View Details and select an update.
  8. NOTE: If a map update is too large for the internal storage of the device, the software may prompt you to install a microSD® card in your device to add storage space see Installing a Memory Card for Maps and Data

The Garmin Express software downloads and installs the updates onto your device. Map updates are very large, and this process may take a long time on slower Internet connections.



Installing a Memory Card for Maps and Data

You can install a memory card to increase the storage space for maps and other data on your device. You can purchase memory cards from an electronics supplier or go to www.garmin.com/maps to purchase a memory card with pre-loaded Garmin mapping software. The device supports microSD memory cards from 8g to 32 GB.

    1. Locate the map and data memory card slot on your device (RV HUB Remote Overview).
    2. Insert a memory card into the slot.
    3. Press it in until it clicks.
