Apple: App Crashing During Use

If the Navionics® Boating app is crashing during use, it is most likely that the memory usage of the device has been exceeded due to too many apps running in the background. First, ensure that the app has been updated to the current version. Find information on Updating Your Charts and App.

Please try to force close all apps, including the Navionics app. 


Devices With a Home Button

  1. From the Home screen, quickly press the Home button (located at the bottom) twice.
  2. Swipe each of the app previews up.

Devices Without a Home Button

  1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
  2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.  
  3. Swipe each of the app previews up. 

​After those steps, reboot the device. When the device is fully booted, re-open the app.

If this does not resolve, please assess the available storage on the device being used. It might be that you need to move data such as photos or videos to your cloud storage, or delete apps you do not use to clear up space.

If the crashes continue, email navionics.support@garmin.com with the troubleshooting you have tried thus far. Include a Crash Log for further analysis.
