Your Garmin Connect™ account can link to your Trailforks account to send trails and routes from Trailforks directly to your Edge® cycling computer or compatible Garmin® watch. Once you’ve enabled this feature, you can save your favorite routes and trails in your Trailforks account, and they will be sent to your Garmin device the next time you sync.
Garmin devices that support courses can download routes sent from Trailforks. Refer to your owner’s manual to see if your device supports courses.
Certain Edge cycling computers come preloaded with free Trailforks maps. Refer to Preinstalled Trailforks Maps on Edge Cycling Computersfor more information and device compatibility.
Routes can be saved and sent to Garmin Connect directly from the Trailforks mobile app or website. Select the Save option when viewing the trail or route details, then Save to Garmin. The route will be added to your Courses in Garmin Connect and will be sent to your devices the next time you sync.
If your Garmin Connect and Trailforks accounts are not currently linked, follow the steps below to connect them:
Log into Trailforks.com.
Select your profile (top right).
Select Settings.
Select Garmin Connect under Connections.
Sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Follow the on screen prompts to complete the setup.
Installing the Trailforks Connect IQ™ app on your compatible Edge cycling computer or watch will allow you to download saved trails and routes directly on your device. The Connect IQ app is also required to unlock the preinstalled Trailforks maps on certain Edge models.
NOTE: The Trailforks Connect IQ app is no longer supported on the latest generation Edge cycling computers. All routes and trails can be sent by linking your Trailforks and Garmin Connect accounts without the use of the Connect IQ app. See below for device compatibility
Below are requirements to use the Trailforks app from the Connect IQ store for your Garmin device:
Have a compatible Garmin device (see the "Compatible Devices" section on the Trailforks app page in the Connect IQ store).
Your Garmin device must be paired to your mobile device through the Garmin Connect™ app.
NOTE: Only devices sold in Asia will include Trailforks Asia, which covers Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
Download the app using this link: Trailforks App in the Connect IQ Store.
Select Install or the Download button (if using a computer).
If prompted, sign in to your Garmin account.
If prompted, select your device to download the app.
Acknowledge any app permission requests.
A message should indicate that the app will be installed during the next sync.
Once the sync is complete, the Trailforks app will be installed onto your device. You are ready to move to Step 2.
Once the Trailforks app from the Connect IQ store is installed, you will be prompted on your device to continue setup. Select your device type below to reveal instructions.
On the Edge, select IQ from the home screen or Connect IQ from the menu.
Select Trailforks.
Select My Routes.
You will now be prompted to open the Garmin Connect app.
From the Garmin Connect app, enter your Trailforks login details and select Login.
Trailforks can only be logged into on one Garmin device at a time.
Select Authorize.
You are now ready to move to section Step 3 below.
On your watch, press the Start key to access your activity menu.
Select Trailforks.
Select My Routes.
You will now be prompted to open the Garmin Connect app.
From the Garmin Connect app, enter your Trailforks login details and select Login.
Trailforks can only be logged in on one Garmin device at a time.
Select Authorize.
You are now ready to move to section Step 3 below.
Routes can be saved by adding them to your "Wishlist" on Trailforks.com or through the Trailforks mobile app on your smartphone. After you sync your Garmin device, routes saved to your "Wishlist" in Trailforks will appear under "My Routes" on the Trailforks Connect IQ app on your Garmin device.
