Defining the Home Page of the Garmin Explore Website for Consumer inReach Accounts

Consumer inReach® account holders can view their statistics and subscription details when logging in to their account at the Garmin Explore™ website. Upon logging in, you will reach the Home page.

If anything needs your attention, such as expired billing information or a suspended plan,1 these appear at the top of the page.

Definitions of the items listed under all sections can be found below.


My Stats

NOTE: The totals displayed under My Stats may be delayed by a few days. For real-time updates, visit the Map or Inbox tab on your account. Viewers on mobile devices will have a different layout and My Stats will be further down the page.

This displays statistics for the lifetime of the account. As such, these numbers will continue to rise or fluctuate, rather than "reset" at the end of the billing cycle.

Individual Boxes of Account Stats 

You can right-click the boxes in this section and select Open in New Tab or Open in New Window to view their coordinating pages. For example, Messages Sent takes you to the Inbox page, and Waypoints takes you to the Map page.

  • Messages Sent - Total number of any messages sent, either from the device or through the Earthmate® app or Garmin Explore app.

  • Messages Received - Total number of any messages received by the device.

  • Tracks, Waypoints, or Routes - Total amount of tracks, waypoints, or routes you have created on the device and synced to your account.

  • MapShare Messages Sent - Messages that included MapShare as a contact when sent from the device or through the Earthmate® app, Garmin Explore app, or Garmin Messenger™ app.

  • MapShare Messages Received - Amount of messages that others have sent to you via your MapShare™ page.

  • Collections - Total amount of Collections in your account.

  • Total Track Distance - Current total distance of all tracks created on the device and synced to your account.


Manage Plans

Subscription plans and billing information are now managed on the Garmin website at garmin.com/account/subscriptions.


Current Plan

This displays your current plan status and whether your subscription is active or suspended. If you click on this, your current plan is highlighted and also displays:

1 As of September 18th, 2024, inReach Freedom subscription plans are no longer available for new inReach activations. Existing customers with inReach Freedom subscription plans will still be able to suspend and reactivate their service until their next annual renewal date unless they change to a different plan.
