Navigating a Route in the Earthmate App

Routes that you have created or saved at explore.garmin.com can be synced to the Earthmate® app and used to navigate. Use the instructions below to navigate a route in the app.

Navigating a Route on iPhone®/iPad®

1. Open the Earthmate app.

2. Select More.

3. Select Routes.

4. Select the desired route.

5. Touch .

6. Select Navigate.

   • NOTE: If no inReach® device is actively connected, you will be prompted to use your smartphone's GPS to navigate.

The map will now show a line for the route being traveled, and the following data fields will be displayed below the map:

• Distance to Waypoint

• Bearing to Route

• Speed

• Heading

• Elevation

• Coordinates

If you are not already at the start of the route, the app will navigate in a straight line from the current location to the beginning of the route.

Navigating a Route on Android™

1. Open the Earthmate app.

2. Touch .

3. Select Routes.

4. Select the desired route.

5. Select Navigate.

   • NOTE: If no inReach device is actively connected, you will be prompted to use your smartphone's GPS to navigate.

The map will now show a line for the route being traveled, and the following data fields will be displayed below the map:

• Distance to Finish

• Bearing to Route

• Speed

• Heading

• Elevation

• Coordinates

If you are not already at the start of the route, the app will navigate in a straight line from the current location to the beginning of the route.
