How to Reset the Geko

There are a few instances in which you may want to perform a reset on your Geko™ outdoor handheld, such as:

  • Not receiving a satellite signal
  • Restoring the factory default settings
  • Not functioning properly

Before Resetting

All settings, user data, and satellite data may be erased when resetting the Geko handheld. User data from a Geko 201 or 301 handheld can be backed up to a computer. For instructions on backing up user data, see Related.

The Geko 101 handheld has no computer interface, therefore the user data can not be backed up.

Performing a Reset

  1. Power off the Geko handheld.
  2. Press the PAGE, ENTER, and POWER buttons simultaneously.
  3. Release the buttons once you see the Do you really want to clear all user data? message.
  4. Select Yes.

The Geko handheld is now reset. You will want to leave the device outside with a clear view of the sky for a minimum of 20 minutes to acquire satellite data.
