How to Reset the Geko
There are a few instances in which you may want to perform a reset on your Geko™ outdoor handheld, such as:
- Not receiving a satellite signal
- Restoring the factory default settings
- Not functioning properly
Before Resetting
All settings, user data, and satellite data may be erased when resetting the Geko handheld. User data from a Geko 201 or 301 handheld can be backed up to a computer. For instructions on backing up user data, see Related.
The Geko 101 handheld has no computer interface, therefore the user data can not be backed up.
Performing a Reset
- Power off the Geko handheld.
- Press the PAGE, ENTER, and POWER buttons simultaneously.
- Release the buttons once you see the Do you really want to clear all user data? message.
- Select Yes.
The Geko handheld is now reset. You will want to leave the device outside with a clear view of the sky for a minimum of 20 minutes to acquire satellite data.
