Using Simulator Mode on Garmin Marine Devices

Notes:
   • Certain marine devices have a Demo Mode, which is different from Simulator Mode. See Enabling or Disabling Demo Mode on an echoMAP™ or STRIKER™ Device for steps to enable or disable the Demo Mode feature.
   • If Simulator Mode appears on a Fishfinder or echo™ device when it is first turned on, this usually indicates that the device does not recognize a transducer is connected. The transducer may need to be replaced. See Echo fishfinder goes into demo mode for more information.

Simulator Mode can be used on Garmin® marine devices to demonstrate their features and operation even without any connected accessories, such as radar, radio, or sonar transducers. The device will show examples of how these features would appear with accessories connected.

Simulator Mode can also be used to move the boat icon to a different location on the map and simulate a route by setting a speed and heading.

Features such as Auto Guidance, Dynamic Lake Level, & Depth Range Shading may not work unless the boat is located on the water in the desired starting location. In these situations, using Simulator Mode may be necessary to move the boat location to work with these features. Some or all of these features may only be available with premium/supplemental charts.
