Alpha 200 or Alpha 200i Calibrating the Compass

Calibrating the electronic compass on your Alpha® 200 and Alpha® 200i should be done from time to time. You should calibrate the compass after travelling long distances, experiencing temperature changes, or after removing the battery.

NOTE: To improve heading accuracy, do not stand near objects that influence magnetic fields, such as vehicles, buildings, and overhead power lines.
