Using a GXM™ Antenna with a Fusion® Stereo

SiriusXM radio from a GXM^™ antenna can be played on a Fusion^® stereo with an AUX input. The only Fusion stereo without an AUX input is the Fusion^® Apollo^™ MS-SRX400 Marine Zone Stereo.

To play audio from a GXM antenna on a Fusion stereo

1. Connect the GXM antenna to power and the chartplotter according to the Installation Manual

2. Connect the audio cable from the antenna to the AUX input on the Fusion stereo

3. Retrieve the Radio ID number from the bottom of the antenna, or from the preview channel (channel 000) on the Garmin MFD

4. See Activating SiriusXM Weather and SiriusXM Radio Service for instructions on activating the SiriusXM subscription of a GXM antenna

5. Change the stereo source to AUX

Audio from the GXM antenna will now play through the Fusion stereo.

Note: The stereo will be able to adjust volume, but will not display song or station information. SiriusXM radio from a GXM antenna can only be controlled by the Garmin MFD.

If no SiriusXM audio is heard from the stereo

• Check that the audio cable is connected to the correct AUX input on the stereo. Some stereos have 2 AUX inputs

• Follow the steps in Missing Radio or Weather Information on Chartplotter to check that the antenna is working properly

• Connect another audio device to the AUX input on the stereo to check if the input is working

  • A male 3.5mm headphone jack to dual male RCA splitter may be an easy option for testing
