VHF or Marine Band Radios in Close Proximity to Dog Tracking Systems

Alpha®, Astro® (except Astro 900), Pro Trashbreaker™, and Pro 550 Plus dog tracking or training devices utilize a radio signal in the MURS radio band, as do some other communication devices utilized by hunters and trackers. These communication devices can utilize high-powered radio signals in the Very High Frequency (VHF) or Ultra High Frequency (UHF) bands, that can cause interference or permanent damage to nearby devices.

• Garmin® does not recommend using your device within 10 feet of other radio(s).
• Magnetic Mount Antenna and/or Portable Long-Range Antenna can increase the chance of damage when within the above range.

Minimizing the number and power of communication devices near each other and near the above referenced Garmin products will help prevent device damage and decrease the chance of interference.
