The Touchscreen on My Approach Watch Does Not Respond

If you are experiencing an issue with the touchscreen on your Approach watch, use the troubleshooting steps below:

Screen is Locked

Check to make sure the screen lock is off. See - Preventing the Touchscreen of an Approach Watch From Changing Screens.

Using a Screen Protector

Garmin does not recommend using a screen protector, as it may affect the touchscreen. If you have a screen protector, try removing it and test to see if the touch screen responds correctly.

For more information on your watch's touchscreen, see Types of Touchscreens Found On Garmin Outdoor Devices.

Software up to Date

It is important that your watch is on the latest software version, as there may be fixes included for potential issues. You can use Garmin Express to check for updates to your watch's software: Update Golf Courses and Device Software on an Approach.

Reset

If the above steps did not resolve the issue and your watch's touchscreen does not respond, try the available resets for the Approach shown in the following article - My Approach Watch is Stuck on the Garmin Logo.
