Waking Up the Descent Transceiver
When pairing your Descent transceiver to a compatible Garmin dive computer the transceiver will need to be taken out of low power mode. Follow the below steps to take the transceiver out of low power mode.
Install the transceiver on your regulator, and gradually open the tank valve to pressurize the regulator to make the transceiver exit low power mode. Check your transceiver's owner's manual for specific instructions and where to place the transceiver on your tank regulator.
NOTE: Bluetooth® pairing will not be available with this method and you will need to follow the below option to turn on the Bluetooth for the transceiver.
On the transceiver twist the battery cover counter-clockwise 270 degrees, wait 30 seconds, then twist the battery cover clockwise until it is secure. The transceiver will play a tone when it wakes from low power mode and is now ready to pair with your compatible dive computer.
NOTE: The transceiver will remain awake for two minutes before returning to low power mode.
