Garmin Products that Comply with the State Appliance Efficiency Regulations
Garmin is pleased to announce that all consumer products manufactured on or after February 1, 2013 will be compliant with the state appliance efficiency regulations, which went into effect on February 1, 2013. We have worked very hard to ensure that these products maintain high energy efficiency standards in order to remain available to our dealers, distributors, and customers throughout the United States.
According to regulation, all applicable battery charging systems manufactured on or after February 1, 2013 will require a mark, indicating that the product has completed sufficient testing and can be legally sold or offered for sale in various states. Any battery charging system manufactured prior to February 1, 2013 will not require a mark.
All applicable Garmin products manufactured on or after February 1, 2013 will include packaging or product serial number tags with the BC mark. Note that products manufactured before this date may ship without any BC mark, and can be sold in the affected states after this date.
