Geocache Pocket Query Information
A pocket query is a premium service offered by Geocaching.com, allowing you to create a custom search for geocaches in a specified area.
Once you have set up these searches, you will be emailed the geocaches for use in your GPS. The geocaches can also be accessed on a computer by using various geocaching programs available online.
NOTE: Geocaching.com is a third party website and is not owned or maintained by Garmin.
If you choose to use the free Garmin BaseCamp™ program, you can import the GPX file and then load only the caches you want to the device.
Importing and Transferring a GPX File using Garmin BaseCamp Software
- Click File from the File menu.
- Click Import.
- Browse to the GPX file location from the Import File window.
- Click open for Windows or import for MAC.
Once the GPX file has been loaded you should then be able to transfer the geocaches you want directly to the device. You can transfer data in Garmin BaseCamp software in a few different ways:
- Select and drag an item from a connected device to My Collection or to a list.
- Select and drag an item or a list from your computer to a connected device.
- Right-click a list and select Send to, choosing your device as the destination.
More information on pocket queries can be found at Geocaching.com's website.
