Disabling and Enabling Map Layers on the Montana 700 Series

The Montana® 700 series outdoor handhelds have a new advanced map layer button on the map. This button allows you to select which map layers are displayed so you can easily enable or disable any installed satellite imagery, Garmin Public Land, etc.

Disabling other layers can help give a better view of the other mapping information.

As an example, the Garmin HuntView™ maps include both topographic detail and satellite imagery, and disabling the imagery helps the topographic features become more visible.

Disabling/Enabling Map Layers

  1. From the Map page, touch Map Layers Icon .
  2. Any available map layer will display. Touch the desired layer to enable or disable it.
    • Green = Enabled
    • White = Disabled
  3. Touch Back Arrow  at the bottom left to return to the Map.

The map should now reflect the changes made.
