Diodes for the Reactor™ 40 Mechanical/Retrofit/Solenoid Steering System

The Reactor™ 40 Mechanical/Retrofit/Solenoid autopilot when paired with a solenoid steering system requires the use of the Solenoid Power Cable.

If the diode has failed or is not present due to the wrong cable having been ordered, a clutch fault error may appear on the Autopilot controller and a new cable must be ordered.

If the wrong cable was ordered, and the need for a working solution is urgent, a diode of the same amperage rating on each positive cable of no less than 5 amp and no greater than 8 amps must be added.

This type of installation has been simplified with the release of the Solenoid Power Cable (010-11533-10) which uses built in diodes.
