My fēnix 5 Is Stuck on the Garmin Blue Triangle

If your fēnix® 5 watch turns on but gets stuck on a triangle or the Garmin logo and will not display the time screen, it will need to be reset and updated through Garmin Express™ software. Follow the instructions below on how to perform an unprompted master reset.

Performing an Unprompted Master Reset

NOTE: This reset will clear all settings, user profile, records, activity history, Connect IQ™ content, and other data. 

1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
   
   • You may need to hold LIGHT for up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
2. Press LIGHT to power the watch on.
3. When the Garmin triangle appears, press and hold START/STOP and BACK.
   
4. After the first beep release START/STOP.
5. After the second beep release the BACK.

The watch will now apply the reset back to factory settings and once finished will enter the initial setup menu.
