Why Certain Courses Might not Show on an Approach
Upon searching the current list of Garmin golf courses preloaded on your Approach® golf device, you may not see a certain course for a variety of reasons. To see if a particular course is already included in the Garmin list of golf courses, see - Garmin Golf Courses List. Below are the most common reasons that a golf course might be missing on your Approach device:
Golf Course Missing
- The golf course has not been added to the Garmin golf course list yet.
- The golf course has been added to the Garmin golf course list but the Approach device has not been updated to reflect the recent mapping updates.
- There was an issue updating with the Garmin Express™ program and course mapping needs to be reinstalled.
Updating Course Mapping with Garmin Express Program
Garmin updates golf course mapping files three to four times per year on average. Therefore, it is important to keep your Approach up to date with current course mapping files by utilizing the Garmin Express computer program. If you find yourself in a situation where you are unable to locate a golf course on your Approach or there is a golf course mapping issue, update the course mapping on your Approach device via Garmin Express software.
Golf Course Report Form
For instances where a golf course is not listed in the Garmin golf courses list or there has been a mapping change on a current Garmin golf course, see the - Golf Course Report Form. The golf course report form needs to be filled out for new golf courses as well as current golf course mapping changes such as golf course renovations, flipping the front and back nines, tee marker changes, additional bunkers or hazards, etc.
