Getting Started With the inReach Mini

If you are setting up an inReach® Mini satellite communicator for the first time, the following steps will walk you through the process to help you get the most out of your new Garmin device. 

Setting up the inReach Mini

When powering on the Garmin device for the first time, you will be prompted to configure some settings and activate with an inReach subscription.

1. Power on by holding the on top.

   POWER

   
   

   • Press and hold to turn the device on.
   • While powered on, quickly press to open the Power menu.
   • Press and hold to turn the device off.

   
   

   UP

   
   

   • Press to scroll through menus, pages, and settings.

   
   

   DOWN

   
   

   • Press to scroll through menus, pages, and settings.

   
   

   OK

   
   

   • Press to choose an option or to acknowledge a message.
   • From the home page, press to open the main menu.

   
   

   CANCEL/RETURN

   
   

   • Press to cancel or return to the previous page.

   
   

   SOS

   • Initiate or cancel an SOS request.

2. Choose your language by scrolling through the list using and buttons, press OK to select a language.

3. Activate your inReach Mini with an inReach Satellite Subscription.
