How to Pair the TruSwing

To get the most out of your TruSwing™ golf club sensor it should be paired to a smartphone and setup through the Garmin Connect™ Mobile app. The TruSwing sensor can also be paired with a compatible Approach® unit to view some basic swing metrics on the Approach unit itself.

To pair to a smartphone:

1. Go to www.garminconnect.com/truswing on your mobile browser
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to get the app
3. Install and open the Garmin Connect Mobile app
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your device
5. Select an option to add your device to your Garmin Connect account:
   • If this is the first device you have paired with the Garmin Connect Mobile app, follow the on-screen instructions
   • If you have already paired another device with Garmin Connect Mobile, select >Devices>+ in the Garmin Connect Mobile app, and follow the on-screen instructions

To pair with a compatible Approach watch:

1. Turn on your TruSwing device
2. Touch  on your compatible watch
3. Select TruSwing

To pair with a compatible Approach handheld:

1. Turn on your TruSwing device
2. Select Setup on the handheld
3. Select TruSwing

The TruSwing unit is now paired to both the Garmin Connect Mobile app on your smartphone and your compatible device. You will receive basic swing metrics information on the watch or handheld and more detailed information through your Garmin Connect account.
