Viewing Your Current Coordinates on an Outdoor Handheld
There are a few ways in which you can view the coordinates for your current location on an outdoor handheld device.
NOTE: Screenshots are taken from a GPSMAP 67 outdoor handheld, but the examples will be similar on other outdoor handheld devices.
Satellite Page
Select Satellite from the main menu. The device's current GPS position will be displayed at the top of the page.
Marking a Waypoint
When marking a waypoint, the device's current GPS position will be displayed in the Location field.
For instructions on marking a waypoint, refer to your owner's manual.
Setting a Data Field
Data fields on the Map, Compass, Trip Computer, and Altimeter/Elevation Plot pages can be customized to show the device's current GPS position. When customizing the data fields, you can choose from two location options:
Location (lat/lon): Displays the current position in latitude and longitude regardless of the selected position format setting on the handheld.
Location (selected): Displays the current position using the selected position format setting on the handheld.

Location Page (for inReach® Satellite Communicators)
The location page will display the device's current GPS position.
For the inReach Explorer®, inReach Explorer+, inReach SE®, and inReach SE+ satellite communicators, select Location from the main menu.
For the inReach Messenger and inReach Messenger Plus satellite communicators, press OK from the home screen, then select View Coordinates.
For the inReach Mini satellite communicator, press
from the home screen until you reach the Location page.
For the inReach Mini 2 satellite communicator, press
from the home screen until you reach the Navigation widget glance, then press OK. Press
twice reach the Location page.
