Entering Contacts on the inReach Messenger Plus
With an active inReach® subscription an email address, phone number, or an inReach address can be entered manually on the inReach® Messenger Plus to send a message from the device.
Contacts for the inReach Messenger Plus can also be saved using the Garmin Messenger™ app or the Garmin Explore™ website to avoid manually entering them each time.
Manually Entering Contact Information to a Message
From the home screen, press

to scroll through the main menu options.Select Messages
.Select New Message.
Select +Type Contact.
With up-to-date software you can enter multiple contacts if needed. Select
Multi-select > +Type Contact, then proceed with steps 5 and 6 below to enter the contact details. Select +Type Contact again to enter additional contacts.
Using the arrow keys and OK, enter the recipient's email address, phone number, or inReach address.
When you have finished entering the recipient's contact information, select
.If multiple contacts have been entered, select > Next once all contacts have been entered.
Select an option:
Select Select Quick Text, then press
or to scroll through the pre-written messages.Select Type Reply to write a custom message.
- Select Send Tracking Link to send a message that includes your MapShare™ tracking link.
When you have finished your message, select
to send it.
