How the Routing Preferences Work on a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM Uconnect System

Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM Uconnect Systems provide you with multiple route preference options.

Route preferences can be changed from the settings menu of your Uconnect System.

To Change Your Route Preference:

  1. Touch Nav or Navigation
  2. Touch Settings from the Where To? and View Map screen
  3. Touch Navigation
  4. Touch Route Preference

From the next screen, you can choose your preferred routing preference.

An Explanation of These Route Preferences Can be Found Below:

  • Shorter Distance: Creates a route that is a shorter driving distance between two points
  • Faster Time: Utilizes information including posted speed limits, road types, and driving distance to create a route that is faster
    • Faster Time may often have a longer distance, but offers a faster arrival time over the Shorter Distance option
  • Off Road: On Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM vehicles with the RHB Uconnect system "Off Road" is an available route preference. The system draws a straight line route between two points, also known as a bearing. To identify if you have a Chrysler RHB Uconnect system see the related content below.
  • Prompted: On select Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM Uconnect systems the "Prompted" route preference is available. Prompted will allow you to choose from either Shorter Distance or Faster Time when searching for a destination.
