Navigation Projection with the Garmin Motorize App

The Garmin Motorize™ app can project navigation to your motorcycle in one of two ways:

  • Wired Projection: with your smartphone connected to the Communication Control Unit (CCU) over USB.

  • Wireless Projection: through a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.

Follow the steps below to set up Navigation Projection:


Wired Projection

1. Connect your smartphone to the motorcycle via USB cable
2. When asked Open MyRide - Link to handle Communication Control Unit?, press OK
3. Open the Motorize app on your phone.
4. Long press the Home button on handle switch to enable projection.

Wireless Projection

1. Pairing Motorcycle with Smartphone

1. Select Applications
2. Select Settings

 

3. Select Connections, then Bluetooth

4. Select Make system discoverable

 

5. You can then pair your smartphone and your bike through your smartphone's Bluetooth settings page 

6. You can check the pairing status of your app by making sure the two options below are selected 

 


2. Connecting MyRide Link App

1. Select Applications
2. Select Settings
3. Select Connections
4. Select Pairing with the MyRide Link

5. Go to the MyRide Link app on your smartphone and select Settings.
6. Select Vehicles
7. Select the Plus icon
8. Choose the device name on the smartphone
9. Check Connected status shows on the MyRide Link app 


 3. Enabling Wi-Fi Projection

1. Ensure both Bluetooth and MyRide Link are connected
2. Select Applications
3. Select Settings
4. Select Connections
5. Select Wi-Fi hotspot

 

6. Ensure Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled

7. On your smartphone, connect to hotspot using the smartphone's Wi-Fi settings page
8. Ensure the network shows Connected, no internet on smartphone

 

9. Open the Motorize App on your smartphone
10. Long press the Home button on the handle switch to enable projection
