Starting a Round of Golf on Any Hole
A round of golf can be started on any hole of a course with any Garmin® golf-capable device. This is referred to as a shotgun start.
How Starting Hole is Determined
If you are within 30 meters (~33 yards) of the furthest back tee box of a hole, that hole will be the starting hole.
NOTE: Forward tee boxes may be too far outside the radius around the furthest back tee box to trigger the device to start on the hole you are on.
If you are not within 30 meters of the furthest back tee box of a hole, the first hole will be the starting hole.
If the device does not show your preferred starting hole, you can change holes manually. See the owner's manual for how to manually change holes.
