Customizing Your Automotive Devices and Vehicles in the Garmin Drive App

The Garmin Drive™ app allows you to customize your Garmin GPS navigators or Garmin Dash Cams in the vehicles you use them in.

The home screen will be organized by vehicle names. It is named Vehicle 1 by default. Tap Vehicle 1 if you would like to input your own custom vehicle name.
For a your own organizational purposes, devices may be rearranged within a vehicle, and vehicles can be rearranged in order of appearance on the home screen.
The vehicle name can be collapsed for a condensed view or expanded to display the Garmin devices assigned to it.
Once a vehicle name is expanded, actions applicable to paired Garmin devices, such as Locate Vehicle, Save Video, Live View, Review Video, and Audio Recording, will display.

Drive Vehicles Feature

Multiple Garmin GPS navigators can be assigned to a vehicle, but only one navigation device can be actively connected at a time. For example, the Garmin DriveSmart 66 and Garmin Speak are both GPS navigators and can be paired but not connected in the Garmin Drive app at the same time.
A maximum of four vehicles can be created.
Vehicle names can be up to 30 characters in length.
There can be more than one vehicle with the same name.
Each vehicle may have up to four dash cameras assigned to it.
- Exceptions: Garmin GPS navigators with built-in dash cameras and the Garmin Speak Plus with built-in dash camera will not count toward the four-camera maximum.
Garmin dash cameras in a multiple camera network within the same vehicle will respond to most commands at the same time.
- Exceptions: Garmin GPS navigators with built-in dash cameras will not participate in a multiple camera network.
