Syncing User Data Between a Force® Series Trolling Motor and a Garmin Chartplotter or Fishfinder

GPSMAP® chartplotters, ECHOMAP™ chartplotters, and STRIKER™ fishfinders have different methods to sync waypoints, routes, and tracks used by a Force® Series Trolling Motor.

Select a chartplotter or fishfinder from the drop downs below to see the specific guidelines:

GPSMAP Chartplotter Series

When a Force Trolling Motor wirelessly connects to a compatible GPSMAP chartplotter, the waypoints, routes, and tracks automatically sync between the Force Trolling Motor and GPSMAP devices. Likewise, if a waypoint, route, or track is deleted on both devices. GPSMAP chartplotters do not need to use the ActiveCaptain® App to sync User Data to a Force Trolling Motor.

ECHOMAP Plus, UHD, UHD2  and ULTRA, ULTRA 2

Uses the ActiveCaptain App to sync or delete user data like waypoints, routes, and tracks. Use the ActiveCaptain® App to connect to the ECHOMAP. See related content below. For steps on how to connect, please view the Owner's Manual for your specific Force Trolling Motor model.

STRIKER Plus or STRIKER Vivid

STRIKER Plus or Striker Vivid utilizes ActiveCaptain to sync waypoints, routes, and tracks to the ActiveCaptain® App. The user can sync the waypoints, routes, and tracks from the ActiveCaptain App to the Force Trolling Motor.

STRIKER devices do not have any user interface with the Force Trolling Motor. After utilizing the ActiveCaptain App to sync user data, use the Force Trolling motor remote to select a waypoint, route, or track to begin navigation. See Related topics for using the ActiveCaptain App.

For steps on how to connect to ActiveCaptain, please view the Owner's Manual for your specific Force Trolling Motor model.
