Why Are There Extra Weigh-Ins on My Garmin Connect Account?
Your Garmin Connect account now supports multiple weigh-ins per day, allowing users to track their weight more than once per day. Weigh-ins can come from multiple sources, which means any of the following items can prompt a new weight entry to show up on your account:
NOTE: If you stand on the Garmin Index Smart Scale for longer than 20 seconds, you may see more than one weigh-in recorded on your account. This is because the scale starts to weigh you again after you've been on the scale for 20 seconds. The subsequent weigh-in may only contain weight and no body metrics due to the weigh-in not being completed. You can delete any unwanted weigh-ins recorded this way by clicking the 'trash' icon next to the weight entry.
Weigh-ins from a Garmin Index Smart Scale.
Syncing a device that has been paired with a Tanita scale.
Manual weight entries.
Weights synced from MyFitnessPal.
User profile updates.
Adding a new device to your account (if user profile and weight settings are part of the initial device setup).
Why Is the Time of My Weigh-In Incorrect?
Prior to May 2019, weights were recorded without a timestamp. This is true for measured weights from the Garmin Index Smart Scale and Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale. As well as manual weight entries and weights synced from MyFitnessPal, or other user profile updates.
If weight is recorded without a timestamp, they may show with an arbitrary time (e.g. 12AM/6PM) in order to show that they occurred on that particular day.
