Different Power Supplies for the ECU, NMEA 2000 and the GHC 10

While using different power supplies for each accessory, the ECU, NMEA 2000 and GHC, may be ideal, unfortunately it is not always recommended for specific accessories.

The ECU and GHC must always be installed on the same power supply to ensure correct operation of the "Accessory On" line. NMEA 2000 uses isolated power, so it can be powered from an independent supply.

For best results, Garmin recommends installing all devices on the same power source. For more information on installing the autopilot, please refer to the Installation Manual.
