How Does Garmin Manage Notification Data From My Smartphone?

Garmin cares about privacy when it comes to the personal data that is shared as notifications between your smartphone and your Garmin® device. Below are details on how the Garmin Connect™ app handles this information in a safe and secure manner:

Android

The Garmin Connect app temporarily stores a copy of notifications in a secure area within the app in order to transmit them to a connected Garmin device. Once the notifications are dismissed from the Android™ phone or Garmin device, they are removed from the app. The notifications are not transmitted to Garmin or stored in any other manner.

iOS

Notifications displayed on your Garmin device are completed using the Apple® Notification Center Service. No data is stored on the Garmin Connect app and information is strictly between the phone and the Garmin device.
