Installing the Latest Software to Your Approach CT10

Garmin Approach CT10 will receive a software update through the Garmin golf watch that it is paired with, such as an Approach S20 or S60. The paired Garmin golf watch receives available updates for your Approach CT10 from two sources:

Garmin Connect App

If your Garmin device is paired to Garmin Connect App, it will download software updates automatically behind the scenes while your device is connected to your mobile phone. There are no steps required for you to take to obtain the latest software. Generally, any released updates will take up to a week to download before automatically or prompting to install on your device. Follow the link below and select your Mobile App Platform.

Garmin Express provides the ability to check and offer software updates automatically each time you connect your device to the computer. Follow the installation instructions through the link below.

Updating an Approach CT10

The steps below must be completed outside of a round of golf, and with the CT10 sensor in proximity of the device it is being used with. The steps will need to be performed to update each of your Approach CT10 sensors.

Navigate to Club Sensors > Software Update. The watch will display all sensors that have an update pending.
- This option will only appear if there is an available update. If no updates are available, this option will not appear under Club Sensors.
- Detailed steps to navigate to Software Update can be found below.
Select a club to update. The watch will then display a message depending on if the club is connected or not, alongside the abbreviated club name.
- Selected club is connected: Installing Update.
- Selected club is not connected: Get out your [club name].
When the update completes, the watch will display "Update Complete".
- After 5 seconds, the watch will return to club selection if there are pending update or will show Club Sensors if all updates are complete.

What do I do if the Update Fails?

If the update fails, the progress bar will fill up and turn red. The update can fail up to 3 times and will display: Update failed. Reconnect sensor to try again. After 10 seconds, the watch will return to Installing Update from Step 2 if the club is connected. If the club is not connected or you have reached maximum amount of attempts the watch will display: Update Failed. This will show for 5 seconds.
