Edge Workout Data Screen Glossary

The workout data screen on compatible Edge® cycling computers can display a variety of customized data fields. By default, the screen includes primary and secondary targets. Below outlines an example of what to expect on a hypothetical workout. The workout was created in the Garmin Connect™ platform and is shown on an Edge® 1050 cycling computer, but will look similar on other compatible Edge models.

Duration

  • Time left and countdown gauge.

Target power range over the current power and average power with a gauge to the right

 Primary Target 

  • In this example, power is the primary target and the zone is stated at the top.

  • Below is the desired zone gauge, 3-second moving average of power output, and average power.

 Workout Comparison Gauge 

  • Real time efforts (in white line) compared to the primary target (in grey).
  • In this example, the step just began so the gauge is rolling across the screen.

 Secondary Target

  • In this example, the secondary target is cadence and the desired value is on the right.

  • The real time value is on the left with an arrow pointing up or down signaling too low or too high.
