Adding a Vessel in the ActiveCaptain App

Follow the steps below to add a vessel in the ActiveCaptain® app:

First, connect the chartplotter to ActiveCaptain; see Connecting the Garmin ActiveCaptain App with a Compatible Garmin Device
Open ActiveCaptain and select Settings
Select Vessel Settings
Select Choose Image
From here, add a photo or take a photo of the vessel. The image selected will now be the background of the Boat Apps page in ActiveCaptain
Enter the name of the Vessel
Select Manufacturer. Enter the Manufacturer name and select it from the list. The selected Manufacturer logo will replace the look of the ActiveCaptain app icon and splash screen
Next, Enter the Model and year of the vessel
Select Engines
Select Type and choose the engine type from the list
Select the Manufacturer and year of the engine then select the checkmark to confirm the engine information
Press the Plus Icon to add another engine or trolling motor
Enter the vessel dimensions provided by the manufacturer
Confirm all the entered information is correct and select the checkmark to add the vessel to the app
