Understanding How Golf Handicap is Displayed

The Garmin Golf™ app and the Garmin Connect™ platform use a common handicap tracking method for displaying your handicap on the scorecard. The information below will help you understand how to read your scorecard with a handicap applied.

Handicap Displayed for a Hole

Handicap strokes are represented by a series of dots. A single dot represents a handicap of 1 given for the hole. Two dots represent a handicap of 2 given for the hole. You will only see two dots applied to a hole if your handicap is over 18.

Handicap Displayed for a Round

The scorecard will not display the scores with your handicap applied. You can subtract the handicap strokes from the score for the round. You can also view your net score for the round played on the Leaderboard in the Garmin Golf app.
