Using the Garmin Dash Cam's Built-In Wi-Fi

Your Garmin Dash Cam™ has its own built-in Wi-Fi network that is shared with your paired smartphone when updating software, viewing Live View, and reviewing video in the connected Garmin Drive app.  The Garmin Drive app and your smartphone share an exclusive private Wi-Fi connection solely with the connected Garmin dash cam. This Wi-Fi connection is different from traditional types of connections to Wi-Fi such as at home, an internet café, etc.

NOTE: The Garmin Dash Cam™ X110, Garmin Dash Cam™ X210, Garmin Dash Cam™ X310, Garmin Dash Cam Live™ , Garmin Dash Cam™ 47, Garmin Dash Cam™ 57, and Garmin Dash Cam™ 67W also use a second, standard Wi-Fi connection like home Wi-Fi, work Wi-Fi and in-vehicle Wi-Fi. Additional features like Parking Guard, viewing the live camera view remotely, and uploading videos to the Vault use this standard Wi-Fi connection.

For more details about this feature, refer to your owner's manual and search for “Connecting Your Camera to a Wi-Fi Network.”
