Receiving Traffic Information with the High-Speed Multi-Charger Accessory
The High-Speed Multi-Charger accessory adds two USB ports to your vehicle's 12-volt outlet without losing the ability to power your compatible automotive device.
A traffic-enabled automotive device must be connected to power with its respective vehicle power cable/traffic receiver cable in order to receive traffic information. Devices receiving Live Traffic through Smartphone Link the Garmin Drive™ app, or dēzl™ app do not need to be connected to a vehicle power cable/traffic receiver in order to receive traffic. For information, go to the Support Center and enter your product name or serial number. Once your device is selected, in the Search for a solution... field, enter "Setting up Smartphone Link Traffic," "Setting up Garmin Drive app Traffic," or "Pairing Your Smartphone with Your Device."
If the device is connected to one of the USB ports on the High-Speed Multi-Charger, the device may receive power, but it will not receive traffic information. Connect the device's vehicle power cable/traffic receiver cable to the High-Speed Multi-Charger's 12-volt outlet to ensure proper traffic function.
