What are Track, Train, and Control Codes and Why Would I Use Them?

The Track, Train, and Control Codes are intended to be a virtual PIN code for you to share with others so that they can add your dogs into their Dog List to track, train, and control them. This PIN code prevents  unwanted hunters from linking up with your dogs.

The following are step-by-step guides to view and use the Share Codes for the Astro® 430, Astro 900, Alpha® 100, Alpha 200, Alpha 200 Plus, Alpha 300 dog tracking handhelds, and the Alpha XL navigator.

NOTE: The appropriate collar(s) should be turned on and nearby when setting up training commands.

Alpha 100, Astro 430, and Astro 900 Handhelds

  • The Track Code is a 5-digit PIN number so other handhelds can share and track your dog.
  • The Train Code is a 5-digit PIN number that allows other handhelds to track and control (correction).
  • Alpha 100 and Astro 430 handhelds can share and pair to each other's dogs; Astro 900 handhelds can only share and pair to other Astro 900 systems due to a different radio frequency used.
