Best Practices for Searching FAQs
Garmin Support Center contains a large amount of FAQ content. Results may vary depending on how you're searching for the answer to your questions.
Garmin suggests searching the FAQs by selecting your device from the Product list first. This will narrow down the search results that specifically pertain to your device. If you are unsure of the model number of your device, see How Do I Identify My Product Model?
Example:
1. Enter a Product Name or Serial Number
- If you're needing help with an application (Garmin Drive™ App, Smartphone Link, VIRB® Mobile, etc.) select the Product you are using the application with e.g. Garmin DriveSmart™ 65 and include the application name in your keyword search.
2. Search FAQs under Common Topics (if applicable):
- Common Topics list the most common searched for FAQs for the selected device
3. To search for additional FAQs or for FAQs not found, select Search for a solution and type in your search terms.
Using specific keywords will help to narrow down your search results.
Here are a Few Tips When Using Keywords:
- Use device-specific terms like; myMaps, Trip Planner, Where To?, etc.
- Search for the error message displayed on the device such as "Attached power cable is not supported"
- Verify the correct spelling of your keywords
