BaseCamp Routing Not Working on City Navigator Europe
When using the BaseCamp™ software for PC and Mac, the City Navigator Europe NTU map is a split map between the North and South regions of Europe.
The split file prevents users from creating a route that goes across both the North and South Europe map regions.
Because BaseCamp can have only one map active at a time, this prevents users from creating a route that goes across both.
As a result, the route will not complete calculating, or you may get an error message "There was an error calculating this route".
If you are traveling across countries in both map regions, you will need to create a separate route for the countries in the other map region.
This is not an issue when creating a route on your GPS navigator. It is capable of creating routes throughout all of Europe.
To Select a Map Region
1. Select Maps
2. Select ONE of the two City Navigator Europe maps shown.
Although one is North Europe and the other is South Europe, the title does not reflect which one is which. However, the coverage area will be indicated within cyan-colored lines.
NOTE: The map view needs to be in 2D Map in order for the coverage cyan-colored line to show. Click on View > Map Views >2D Map.
