Changes in BaseCamp™ When Using BaseStation Mode
When using BaseStation mode, BaseCamp™ software will have different functions such as:
In BaseCamp™, the folder listed under the device will show 'BaseStation' (instead of Mass Storage).
Data cannot be sent to the connected device from BaseCamp™ while it is in BaseStation mode.
In BaseCamp™ data stored in the Mass Storage section of the associated handheld device will be inaccessible while utilizing BaseStation (for example: previously created Waypoints, Routes, Tracks, Pictures and Mapping, such as Topo 100k, will be inaccessible).
Waypoints, Routes and Tracks from the BaseStation folder can be transferred to other BaseCamp™ folders or lists while using BaseStation mode.
Updated track data will not be reflected in other folders or lists until the most up to date track information is transferred.
When the BaseStation folder is selected the map in BaseCamp™ will be updated automatically with the current positions of the handheld device and its available contacts.
Data will only be available if the BaseCamp™ is able to communicate with the connected handheld device.
Information will not be available for devices that do not have a GPS or GNSS signal.
Connected devices can only receive and display data from devices compatible with each other (for example: Astro® 320 handheld with DC™ 40 collars, Rino® radio with Rino radio, and Alpha® dog tracking handheld with Alpha handheld and TT™ 15 collars).
Multiple connected devices will have multiple BaseStation folders.
Only one BaseStation folder may be displayed at a time.
