Touchscreen Recalibration on a Garmin Automotive Device

The touchscreen on your device may need to be calibrated if it is inaccurate or not responding.

Ensure your device's software is up-to-date before attempting a recalibration. See Updating Automotive Maps and Software with Garmin Express.

Note: The device will need to be charged before attempting the steps below.

To Complete a Touchscreen Recalibration:

  1. Start with the device turned off and unplugged from power
  2. Slide or push the power switch to the on position and hold for about 45 seconds
  3. Release the power switch when the "Press Dot" message appears
  4. Accurately touch the dots as they appear
    • The dots will change location
    • A stylus or pencil eraser may be used to accurately touch the dots
  5. Touch OK when "Calibration Complete" appears

The touchscreen is now recalibrated.
