Index Scale Measurements Do Not Add Up to the Total Body Weight

The body metric analysis from your Garmin Index™ Smart Scale and Index™ S2 Smart Scale are not designed to add up and equal your total body weight. This is because things like tissue weight and water weight can be measured in more than one of these metrics and can create an overlap of data. The scale does not include the mass of organs, skin, and various other parts that make up the total weight being reported. The metrics in this analysis include:

• Bone Mass

• Skeletal Muscle Mass
