Dash Camera Memory Card Error Messages

When using your device's dash camera, an error message may display while in operation. Below is a list of possible error messages and their definitions.

The Memory Card has Reached the End of its Useful Life and can no Longer Record Videos. Insert a New Memory Card to Begin Recording

This message can appear when the device has insufficient power. Be sure to plug the device into the original USB-C cable with the original 12v adapter. See Device Displays the Message "The memory card has reached the end of its useful life." for additional information and troubleshooting. 


The Driving Recording Requires a MicroSD or MicroSDHC Memory Card

 


A Map was Detected on the Memory Card. Remove the Memory Card and use the Other Slot to Install a Map

This error message indicates the card inserted into the dash cam card slot contains map files. This may indicate the memory card is inserted into the wrong slot. Troubleshooting can be viewed below.

 


Media files were detected on the memory card. Remove the memory card, and use the other slot to record video

This error message indicates the card inserted into the map memory card slot has video files or other media files. This may indicate the memory card is inserted into the wrong slot. Troubleshooting can be viewed below.
