Battery Saver or Data Saver and the Garmin Connect App

Most phones today feature a Battery Saver or Data Saver setting that allows the phone to control certain features or apps when it comes to battery or data usage. In the event that you enable either of these features on your phone, you may inadvertently effect the performance of the Garmin Connect™ app. This includes:

• Smart Notifications may be delayed or not sent.

• Weather data on the Garmin device may be delayed or missing.

• Bluetooth® connection performance between your phone and Garmin device.

Garmin recommends turning off any battery or data saver programs if you are experiencing a performance or data issue between your phone and your Garmin device.
