Usage beyond what is listed below, or usage of features not listed, may result in reduced battery life. The information presented below is presented as a general guide for reference only on the Forerunner 745 product.

Optimizing GPS Mode Battery Life on a Forerunner 745

There are various settings that can impact the Forerunner 745’s battery life during a GPS Mode activity. To optimize the battery life during a GPS Mode activity, we recommend configuring your device as shown below. Consult the Owner’s Manual for guidance in changing these settings.

  • Run Settings > GPS > GPS Only

  • System > Backlight > During Activity > Gesture > Off

  • Backlight > During Activity > Keys and Alerts > Off 

  • Phone > Off

When the Forerunner 745 is configured with these settings, battery life of up to 24 hours can be achieved.
