Can the Existing Fuel Filter be Used with GFS 10 Instead of Installing the One that Came with it?

Garmin recommends installing the fuel filter that came with the GFS 10 fuel sensor for proper operation.

If the other fuel filter is needed, install the fuel filter that came with the GFS 10 between the old fuel filter and the GFS 10.

The GFS 10 fuel sensor is rated at 30-microns and other fuel filters may not have this type of rating. This is why it is required to install the fuel filter that came with the GFS 10.
