Why the Aera 795 or Aera 796 says XM on Wrong Port After Plugging in a GXM Antenna
The message XM on wrong port indicates that the XM antenna is plugged into the wrong USB port. The correct port the XM antenna should be plugged into in order to receive the XM weather data is located on the power/data cable.
Connecting the GXM™ 40 or GXM™ 42 Antenna:
- Position the antenna where it has a clear view of the sky. This can be done behind the windshield.
- Plug the GXM 40 or GXM 42 cable into the USB Connector on the appropriate Aviation Mount.
