Formatting a microSD Card on the Garmin Dash Cam 10 or Garmin Dash Cam 20

It is recommended to format any new microSD card you choose to use in the Garmin Dash Cam. On some occasions, you may also wish to format a card that is already in use.

NOTE: Formatting a microSD card will delete all content, including protected or saved files. Ensure that you have removed all the data you want to keep before formatting the card.

To format a microSD card inside the Garmin Dash Cam:

1. Ensure the desired microSD card is inserted in the device - Make sure all data you wish to keep has been removed and stored on a computer or another memory card
   
2. Press the button under the Settings icon 
3. Press the button under the up or down arrow until Format Memory Card is highlighted
4. Press the button under OK
5. Press the button under OK to format the memory card
6. When the device displays "Format Success", press the button under OK

The microSD card will now be formatted.
